κίδναμαι , Pass. of κίδνημι (only found in the compd. ἐπικ-), poet. for σκεδάννυμαι, used only in pres. and impf.,
A.to be spread abroad or over, of the dawning day, “ὑπεὶρ ἅλα κίδναται ἠώς” Il.23.227, cf. 8.1; “ὀδμὰ κατὰ χῶρον κ.” Pi.Fr.129.6; κιδναμέναν μελιαδέα γᾶρυν prob. in Simon.41: once in Trag., “ὕπνος ἐπ᾽ ὄσσοις κ.” E.Hec.916 (lyr., v.l. for σκίδ-）“; κολοιῶν κρωγμὸς . . κιδνάμενος” AP7.713 (Antip.).
