2. make one thing slope against another, i.e. lean, rest it, “τι πρός τιIl.23.171, cf.510; “ἅρματα δ᾽ ἔκλιναν πρὸς ἐνώπια8.435: c.dat., ἔστησαν σάκε᾽ ὤμοισι κλίναντες, i.e. raising their shields so that the upper rim rested on their shoulders, 11.593.
