A.scratch, “ὡς λέγεται, κνήθειν οἶδεν ὄνος τὸν ὄνονAP12.238.8 (Strat.), cf. Moer.p.234 P.:—Med., κνήθεσθαι εἰς τὰς ἀκάνθας τὰ ἕλκη to get one's sores scratched, Arist.HA609a32.
2. Pass., itch, Paul. Aeg.6.60; “κνηθόμενοι τὴν ἀκοήν2 Ep.Ti.4.3; to be provoked, Arist. Pr.957b15.
