A.participation, οὐσίας μετὰ χρόνου participation of being in time, Pl.Prm.151e; χρόνου in time, ib.141d; “αἱ μ. τῶν ἀρχῶν” Arist.Pol.1278a23.
II. in Platonic philosophy, participation in the ideas, “ἡ μ. τοῖς ἄλλοις . . τῶν εἰδῶν” Pl.Prm.132d, cf. Arist.Metaph.987b10; ταὐτοῦ in the same, Pl.Sph.256b.
III. in Logic, κατὰ μέθεξιν as being contained or comprehended, as genus or difference in species, Arist.Top.132b35.
