A.inward, inmost, Hes.Op.523, v.l. in Th.991; μυχία Προποντίς embayed, A.Pers. 876 (lyr.); “πνοιαί” A.R.2.742; “μύχιόν τι ὑποκρώζειν” Luc.DMort.6.4.
II. οἱ μ. θεοί, = Lat. Penates, D.H.1.67; also θεοὶ μ. coupled with Aphrodite μυχία, Ael.NA10.34; Μύχιος and Μυχία divinities at Hiera, IG12(2).484.13.—To this Adj. belong various irreg. Sups. (formed from the Subst. μυχός）, μυχοίτατος, -αίτατος, -έστατος, -ώτατος, and μύχατος (qq. v.).
