2. fat, “χηνὸς μ.” Hp.Nat.Mul.109, al.
3. marrow as good food, “ἐπὶ γούνασι πατρὸς μυελὸν οἶον ἔδεσκε” Il.22.501 (but ἄλφιτα μ. ἀνδρῶν, as becoming or making marrow, Od.2.290, cf. 20.108): metaph., “φάγεσθε τὸν μ. τῆς γῆς” LXX Ge.45.18.
4. metaph., “νεαρὸς μ.” A.Ag.76 (anap.); πρὸς ἄκρον μ. ψυχῆς marrow, inmost part, E.Hipp.255 (anap.); Τρινακρίας μ., of Syracuse, Theoc. 28.18.
