Pass. νένοται. —The compds. with ἀπό, διά, ἐν, ἐπί, μετά, πρό are used chiefly in Med.:—perceive by the eyes, observe (“οἱ ἀρχαῖοι τὸ ν. σωματικὸν . . ὑπολαμβάνουσινArist. de An.427a26), Il.3.396; ὀξὺ ν. ib.374, Hes. Th.838, etc.; ὀφθαλμοῖσιν, ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖσι ν., Il.15.422, 24.294.
