ὀκρίβας [ι^], αντος, , (ὄκρις, βαίνω)
A.platform or tribune in the Odeum at Athens, on which the actors appeared at the Proagon, Pl.Smp. 194b ; but expld. as τὸ λογεῖον ἐφ᾽ οὗ οἱ τραγῳδοὶ ἠγωνίζοντο, Hsch.
2. = κόθορνος, Philostr.VA6.11, VS1.9.1 : in pl., Id.VA5.9, Them.Or. 26.316d, Luc.Ner.9.
II. generally, like κιλλίβας,
1. painter's easel, Poll.7.129.
2. raised seat of the chariot-driver, Hsch., Phot., Suid.
3. dub. sens., “ὑπερθέντων ὀκρ[ίβαντα]IG12(8).261 (Thasos).
