οἶδμα , ατος, τό,
A.swelling, swell, in Hom. only of water, δ᾽ ἐπέσσυτο οἴδματι θύων, of a river, with swollen waves, Il.21.234 ; of the sea, “ δ᾽ ἔστενεν οἴδματι θύων23.230, cf. Hes.
