3. metaph., build up, edify, IEp.Cor.8.1, 10.23, etc. ; οἰ. εἰς τὸν ἕνα IEp.Thess.5.11 : but also in bad sense, οἰκοδομηθήσεται εἰς τὸ ἐσθίειν will be emboldened, IEp.Cor.8.10 ; cf. ἀνοικοδομέω.
