οὐδέτερ-ος , α, ον,
A.not either, neither of the two, Hdt.1.51, Ar.Ra.1412, Pl.Phlb.21e: in pl., when each party is pl., first in Hes.Th.638, Sc. 171, cf. Hdt.1.76, etc.: divisim, v. ἕτερος 1. Adv. οὐδετέρως in neither of two ways, Pl.Lg.902c: also neut. pl. as Adv., = οὐδετέρως, Id.Plt. 258a, Tht.184a, etc.
II. neutral, τῶν μὲν αἱρετῶν οὐσῶν, τῶν δὲ φευκτῶν, τῶν δ᾽ οὐ. Arist.EN1175b26: so in Medic., of a state which is neither illness nor health, “διάθεσιςHerophil. ap. Gal.6.388; “σῶμαGal.1.307,311.
2. in Gramm., neuter, ἀρσενικῶν καὶ θηλυκῶν καὶ οὐ. D.H.Amm.2.10; τὸ οὐ. (sc. γένος) the neuter gender, A.D.Pron. 6.19. Adv. -ρως in the neuter, Id.Synt.199.20, Gal.9.458, Ath.15.701a; also of Verbs, οὐδετέρα διάθεσις Sch.D.T.p.246 H.
