A.wrestle, “οὐ γὰρ πύξ γε μαχήσεαι οὐδὲ παλαίσεις” Il.23.621; καί νύ κε τὸ τρίτον . . πάλαιον ib.733; “παλαίουσ᾽ ἐς τρίς” S.Fr.941.13; “οἱ ἐπιστάμενοι παλαίειν” Pl.Prt.350e; “ἐπάλαισαν κάλλιστα Ἀθηναίων” Id.Men.94c; τὸν παλαίσαντά ποτ᾽ ἐκεῖνον him once famous as a wrestler, D.21.71.
