A.bring up as a maid, “π. παῖδας ἐν δόμοις καλῶςE.Supp.452, cf. Luc.DMar.12.1, etc.:—Pass., lead a maiden life, Hdt.3.124, A.Pr.648, E.Ph.1637 ; πολιὰ (neut. pl.) παρθενεύεται grows grey in maidenhood, Id.Hel.283.
