II. of the plain, found on the plain, opp. “ὄρειος, λαγώςId.Cyn.5.17. (πεδινός, v.l. πεδεινός)“ ; [δένδρα] πεδεινάThphr.HP1.8.1, cf. 3.11.2 ; πεδινὸν ἄνθος, = ἀργεμώνη, Ps.-Dsc.2.177. (πεδιεινός may have become πεδι_νός (written also πεδεινός) about 150 B.C. ; πεδι^νός is dub., since πεδινώτερος may be f. l. in X.An. l. c.)
