A.go or come round, mostly of Time, ἂψ περιτελλομένου ἔτεος as the year came round, Od.11.295, cf. h.Cer.445; περιτελλομένων ἐνιαυτῶν as years go round, Il.2.551, cf. 8.404; “π. ὥραιςS.OT156 (lyr.), cf. Ar.Av.696 (anap.); cf. περιπέλομαι.
2. of the sun and stars, rise above the horizon, Alc.39, Arat.215, 232.
II. Act. in later Poets in signf. 1.1, Orph.Fr.247.25 ; in signf. 1.2, Arat.828.
