II. driving far from one's course,ἄνεμοςIl.11.308 (unless in signf. 1.1).—In S.Ant.615 (lyr.) π. ἐλπίς may be either wandering, uncertain hope, or, misleading, deceitful; cf. “πολυπλανής11.
