πομπ-εῖον , τό, (πομπή)
A.vessel employed in solemn processions, mostly pl., And.4.29, D.22.48, 69; “πομπείων ἐπιστάταιIG12.379.7, cf. Philoch.124; at Rome, the apparatus of a triumph, D.C.43.42; πομπεία σκευή is dub. (leg. πομπεῖα [σκεύη]) in D.S.12.40: sg., of a wax bust of Cleopatra carried in triumph, D.C.51.21; πομπείου τυχεῖν to have one's image carried in procession, Aristid.2.38J.
