II. Subst., ποτόν , τό, that which one drinks, drink, esp. of wine, “κρητῆρας ἐπεστέψαντο ποτοῖο” Il.1.470, etc.; “θεῖον ποτὸν ἐντὸς ἔχοντες” Od.2.341; “κρόμυον ποτῷ ὄψον” Il.11.630; of wine, A.Pers.615, S.Tr.703; “τῷ ποτῷ χρησαμένους” Hdt.2.121.δ᾽; σῖτα καὶ ποτά meat and drink, Id.5.34, X.An.2.3.27; “βρωτοῖσι καὶ ποτοῖσι” E.Supp.1110; “σιτία καὶ π.” Pl.Prt.334a, etc.
