A.judged first, δίκα π. a cause which has priority of hearing, IG9(1).334.32（Locr., v B.C.), cf. Michel497.2(Aerae, iii B.C.), etc.
2. Act.,judging in first instance, “πόλις” Schwyzer 328aiiB 8(Delph., iv B.C.), cf. GDI5040.63（Crete).
3. decided by arbitration, “ἐθέλω δίκην δοῦναι πρόδικον” Ar.Fr.267; “ἵνα ἀπολάβῃς τὴν τιμὴν τοῦ βάρδου πρόδικον” BGU276.12 (ii/iii A.D., cf. ii p.355).
