II. διὰ τὸ . . προστέλλειν τὰ γυμνὰ ἕκαστον . . τῇ τοῦ ἐν δεξιᾷ παρατεταγμένου ἀσπίδι protect, shield, Th.5.71, cf. D.C.40.23 (unless f.l. for προσστ-, = draw close to, in both).
