ῥα?θυ_μ-ος , ον, (ῥᾶ, θυμός)
A.light-hearted, easy-tempered, frivolous, careless, “ὦ -ότατε” Pl.Tht.166a.
2. mostly in bad sense, taking things easy, indifferent, S.El.958, Isoc.9.35; “οὐδεὶς γὰρ ὢν ῥ. εὐκλεὴς ἀνήρ” E.Fr.237.
3. slipshod, of literary style, Cic.QF2.15(16).5 (Comp.).
II. of things, care-free, easy, “βίος” Isoc.4.108; “-οτάτη καταφυγή” Id.11.45; “τὰ -ότατα αἱρεῖσθαι” Pl.Cri.45d, cf. Arist.Rh.1368b18.
III. Adv. -μως carelessly, Pl.Lg.659b, etc.
2. much like ῥᾳδίως, lightly, with equanimity, “ῥ. φέρειν” And.4.23, Pl.R.549d; “ὑποφέρειν” Id.Lg. 879c; “ῥ. ἔχειν” Isoc.12.17; “περί τι” Plb.4.7.6: Comp. “-ότερον” Isoc. 6.56, 7.10; “-οτέρως διάγειν” Arist.Pol.1335b17; “διακείμενοι” Aen.Tact. 26.2. [ῥαθυμότερος correctly in PSI5.522.4 (iii B.C.), but ῥαιθυμότατε wrongly in cod. B of Pl.Tht. l.c. (fol. 93v).]
