ῥοθ-έω , (ῥόθος)
A.make a rushing noise: hence, of a roaring fire, “ἐν ῥοθοῦντι κριβάνῳA.Fr.309.
2. of any confused noise, ταῦτα . . ἐρρόθουν ἐμοί such clamours they raised against me, S.Ant.290; λόγοι . . ἐρρόθουν κακοί there was a noise of angry words, ib.259.
