II. generally, bend upwards, “τὴν ἰγνύανHld.10.31; τὸν αὐχένα, τὰ νῶτα, Ach.Tat.1.12:—Pass., become σιμός, Hp.Art. 35; of the nose, Id.Epid.6.1.3; πόδες σεσιμωμένοι upturned feet, as of some wading birds, Arist.PA693a7, cf. Hp.Art.60.
