V.679; σκορόδοις ἀλείφειν, = σκοροδίζειν, Id.Pax502; ἵνα μή ποτε σκόροδα φάγῃ μηδὲ κυάμους μέλανας if he doesn't want to eat war-rations, Id.Lys.690 (on κυάμους in this phrase cf. App.Prov.3.27, Suid.); cf. σκόρδον.
