D.S.3.44; hence αἱ Σποράδες the islands off the west coast of Asia Minor, opp. αἱ Κυκλάδες, A.R.4.1711, Str.2.5.21; of diseases, sporadic, opp. endemic, Hp.Acut.5 (Littrá σποράδεες, with cod. M).
