Mein.); στελεοῖς ἐχρῶντο (to punish adulterers) μὴ παρουσῶν τούτων (sc. τῶν ῥαφανίδων) App.Prov. 5.43 (cf. “στελεά11): also nom. στειλειός , Aesop. 122, gen. στειλειοῦ (gender uncertain) Nic.Th.387 (v.l. στειλειῆς): also στειλεός , “οἱ ς. τῶν σκαφίωνHp.Fract.8, cf. Mul.1.90 (with vv. ll. in both places, as also in the citations by Paul.Aeg.6.99, 115, 118):—hence Dim. στειλειάριον , Eust.1531.38.
