στι^χάομαι , Ep., used by Hom. only in Ep. 3pl. impf. ἐστιχόωντο: (Στίξ, στείχω):—
A.march in rows or ranks, esp. of soldiers, Il.2.92, 4.432, etc.; of ships in line, 2.516,602, etc.; of herdsmen with their herds, 18.577; of cattle, Theoc.25.126; “κῆρας, ὅσαι στιχόωνται ἐπ᾽ ἀγρούςOrph.L.272: of two persons marching, Il.3.266, 341.— Act. στιχάει is prob. in Il.15.635 (cf. ὁμοστιχάω); later Ep. στιχόωσι stand in rows, Arat.191, A.R.1.30, Mosch.2.142; part. neut. “στιχόωνταArat.372.
