Adv. “-κῶς, ζῆν” Isoc. 12.79: Comp., of ships, -κώτερον παρεσκευασμένοι equipped rather as troop-ships, Th.2.83.
III. warlike, soldierlike, “γένη” Arist. Pol.1269b25, cf. Plb.22.22.3; “-κώτερος ἢ πολιτικώτερος” Id.22.10.4; -ωτικὴ προπέτεια, opp. στρατηγικὴ πρόνοια, Id.3.105.9. Adv. -κῶς like a rude soldier, brutally, Id.21.38.2.
