II. mixture, compound, οὐ θνητὸς οὐδ᾽ ἀθάνατος, ἀλλ᾽ ἔχων τινὰ ς. but compounded so to say of both, Alex.240.2; τὸν καιρὸν . . τῆς ς., i.e. the moment when the dish is neither too hot nor too cold, Id.173.10; τὴν τοῦ βίου ς. Men.685.
