II. τὸ συμμαχικόν the allies, allied forces, Hdt.6.9, 9.106, Ar.Ec.193, Th.3.91, 4.77; τὰ ς. the forces of the alliance, X.Cyr.3.3.12.
2. -κόν, τό, treaty of alliance, Th.5.6; funds of the alliance, συντελεῖν εἰς τὸ ς. Arist.Ath.39.2.
3. of a standard authorized by a league, “ἀργυρίου συμμαχικὰ τάλαντα πεντήκονταSIG826 D passim (Delph., ii B.C.).
