συμπλάσσω , Att.συμπι?λ-ττω , pf. -πέπλα^κα prob.cj. in J.Ap.2.2:—
A.moula or fashion together, γαίης of clay, Hes.Th.571, cf. Hermipp.41; of bees, Arist.HA628a34, GA761a7; of Prometheus, “τὸν ἄνθρωπον” Aristid.Or.42(6).7:—Pass., “σησαμῆ ξυμπλάττεται” Ar.Pax869; τῶν ἐντὸς [τῆς κνήκου] . . “μέλιτι συμπλασθέντων” Diocl.Fr.140.
2. of speakers and writers, συνομολογοῦντες καὶ ς. by agreeing on an hypothesis and a fiction, Pl.Chrm.175d:—Med., συγγράφεσθαι καὶ “συμπλάττεσθαι” D.C.50.5.
3. metaph., feign or fabricate together, “αἰτίας καὶ ἐγκλήματα” D.36.16; “ς. ἑαυτῷ ἐνύπνιον” Aeschin.3.77.
