II. dat. συχνῷ is freq. joined with a Comp. Adj., like πολλῷ, ς. βελτίων far better, Pl.Lg.761d, cf. Hp.Mul.1.69, Gal.6.471; νεώτερος ἐμοῦ καὶ συχνῷ younger by a good deal, D.39.27.
