Luc.Merc.Cond.42.--To this belongs also aor. ἔτα^φον, used by Hom. only in part. τα^φών, in the phrases “ταφὼν ἀνόρουσε” Il.9.193, Od.16.12, al.; “στῆ δὲ ταφών” Il.11.545, al.; later in indic., 3sg. “τάφε” Pi.P.4.95, dub. in B.16.86; 3pl. τάφον ib.48, A.R.2.207; 1sg. “ἔταφον” A.Pers.999 (lyr.).
