A.cutting, sharp, Pl.Ti.61e, Timo 4 (Comp.); v.l. for τολμηρόν in D.25.24; μὲν σφαγεὺς ἕστηκεν τομώτατος as it will cut sharpest, S.Aj.815.
2. metaph., λόγος -ώτερος σιδήρου Ps.Phoc. 124. cf. Ep.Hebr.4.12; of persons, οἱ -ώτατοι the sharpest, hottest, Call.Fr.78 codd.; “ἐρέω τιτομώτερον ἀπὸ δάφνηςId.Del.94 codd.; “πράξεις -ώτεραιLuc.Tox.11; cf. τορός. Adv. “-μῶςsharply, clearly, Hsch. s.v. τμήδην.
