3. provs., Βοιωτία ὗς, of stupidity (cf. συοβοιωτοί), Pi.O.6.90, cf. Fr.83 (σύας); ὗς ποτ᾽ Ἀθαναίαν ἔριν ἤρισεν (or more shortly ἡ ὗς τὴν Ἀθηνᾶν, Lat. sus Minervam, Plu.Dem. 11), of dunces setting themselves up against wise men, Theoc.5.23; “οὐκ ἂν πᾶσα ὗς γνοίη” Pl.
