A.nigh at hand, imminent,. μοι τῆς τοῦ βίου τελευτῆς οὔσηςIsoc.15.4, ὑπόγυον ἐνδείκνυται θάνατον Gal.18(2).69; ὑπόγυον, used abs., near the end, at the approach of death, Hp.Epid.7.51,52; “εἴ τινων . ἀφαίρεσις τῶν καρπῶνThphr. CP1.13.10; τοῦτ᾽ ἐστὶν ὑπογυιότατον (v.l. -γυώτατον)“ πρὸς αὐτάρκειανthe readiest means, Arist.Pol.1321b16; “ὑπογύου οὔσης τῆς ἑορτῆςId.Oec.1347a28, cf. IG5(2).265.10 (Mantinea, i B. D.), etc., “ὑπογυίωςPSI 10.1103.8 (iii A. D.), “ὑπόγυιοςIG5(2) l.c., CPR220.5 (i A. D.).
