2. a fair name for something base, as παράσιτος for πολυφάγος, Alex. 178.2, cf. 219.5; σεισάχθεια for χρεῶν ἀποκοπή, Plu. 2.807e; so “φυγῆς . καὶ παρακάλυμμαId.Galb.20.
3. diminutive, Eust.1540.54.
