ὑποχάσκω , aor. 2 ὑπέχα^νον, pf. ὑποκέχηνα (v. χάσκω):—
A.gape a little, Ar.Pl.314, X.Eq.6.8; κακὸν ὑποχάσκειν it is bad for the patient to have the mouth a little open, Hp.Epid.4.46; “μικρὸν ὑποκεχηνυῖαι τὸ στόμαAch.Tat.1.1; σῦκα . open a little (as they ripen), Philostr. Im.1.31.
