2. intr., pass the winter, Ar.Av.1097 (lyr.), X.Oec.5.9, Isoc.7.54, etc.: of armies, go into winter quarters, Hdt.8.133, X.HG1.2.15, 3.2.1, Plb.27.18.1, etc.
