A.poured, shed, αἷμα χυτόν blood shed, A.Eu. 682.
2. of dry things, heaped up, Hom., only in phrase χυτὴ γαῖα a mound of earth, esp. a sepulchral mound, like χῶμα, Il.6.464, 14.114, Od.3.258; so “χυτῇ θινίOpp.H.2.635; “χυτὰ κόνιςIG14.1721.5 (Rome), cf. 12(8).38.4 (Lemnos); also χυτή alone (sc. γαῖα) Epigr.Gr.1034.25 (Callipolis).
b. Subst., χυτός, , = χῶμα, mound, bank, dyke, Hdt.7.37.
3. χ. λιμήν protected by a mole or mound, A.R.1.987, ubi v. Sch.
