I.to accomplish, achieve, finish, ὁδόν Od.; οὐδὲν ἦνον Eur.
II.Pass., of the close ofa period of time, νὺξ ἄνεται night is drawing to a close, Il.; ἔτος ἀνόμενον the waning year, Hdt.:—generally to be finished, Il.; ἤνετο τὸ ἔργον Hdt.
