I.far away, far off, distant, ἐξ ἀπίης γαίης Hom.
II.Ἄπιος, η, ον, Apian, i. e. Peloponnesian (said to be derived from Ἆπις, a king of Argos), Ἀπία γῆ, Ἀπία χθών, or Ἀπία alone, the Peloponnese, esp. Argolis, Aesch., Soph.; so Ἀπίς, ίδος, ἡ, Theocr.
