ἀγκών ἄγκος

I.the bend of the arm, the elbow, Hom.
2.generally the arm, like ἀγκάλη, Pind., Soph.
II.any bend, as the jutting angle of a wall, Il.: the bend or reach of a river, Hdt.; ἕσπεροι ἄγκωνες, in Soph., seem to be the angle of the bay of Rhoeteium.
