1.to enter into a treaty of hospitality with one, Lat. hospitio jungi, c. dat., Hdt., Xen.; absol., Xen.
2.to take up his abode with one as a guest, to be entertained, Trag.
3.to be in foreign parts, to be abroad, Soph., Eur.: to go into banishment, Eur.
