ἑτοῖμος 1

I.at hand, ready, prepared, of food, Od., Hdt.; ἑτ. χρήματα ready money, money in hand, id=Hdt.; ἑτ. ποιεῖσθαι to make ready, id=Hdt.; ἐξ ἑτοίμου off-hand, forthwith, Xen.:— τὰ ἑτοῖμα what comes to hand, Thuc.
2.of the future, sure to come, certain, Il.:—also easy to be done, feasible, id=Il.
3.of the past, carried into effect, made good, Hom.
II.of persons or the will, ready, active, zealous, Lat. paratus, promptus, Hdt., Aesch.; εἴς or πρός τι Hdt., Xen.:—c. inf. ready to do, Hdt., attic: τὸ ἕτοιμον readiness, Eur.
III.adv. -μως, readily, Thuc., etc.
