2.absol. to be possible, ἐνδέχεται id=Thuc.: esp. in part. ἐνδεχόμενος, η, ον, possible, ἐκ τῶν ἐνδεχομένων by all possible means, Xen.: —ἐνδέχεται impers., it admits of being, it is possible that, c. acc. et inf., Thuc., etc.
