οὐγὰρἀλλά

an ellipt. phrase, used in attic to express a negation and give a reason for it, Lat. enimvero, μὴ σκῶπτέ μ᾽, οὐ γὰρ ἀλλ᾽ ἔχω κακῶς (i. e. μὴ σκῶπτέ με: οὐ γὰρ σκωπτικῶς, ἀλλὰ κακῶς ἔχω) Ar.
