I.to take away from beside, withdraw, remove, Eur.:— c. gen. partit. to take away part of a thing, id=Eur., Thuc.:—Pass., παρῃρημένοι τὰ ὅπλα having their arms taken from them, Thuc.
2.π. ἀρὰν εἰς παῖδα to draw aside the curse on thy son's head, Eur.
II.Mid. to draw over to one's own side, seduce, detach, Xen., Dem.
2.to take away, Xen.: Mid., παραιρεῖσθαι τὴν θρασύτητα to lessen, damp it, Dem.
3.generally, to take away from, steal away from, τί τινος Hdt., Eur.
