I.to take or receive before, Eur., Dem., etc.
2.to take or seize beforehand, Dem.; πρ. ὅπως . . to provide that . . , Dem.; προλαβὼν προεγνωκότας ὑμᾶς first procured your vote of condemnation, id=Dem.
3.to take before, take in preference, τι πρό τινος Soph.
4.to take away or off before, προὔλαβον μόγις πόδα Eur.
