Aethĭŏpĭa , ae, f., = Αἰθιοπία [v. Aethiops],
I.Ethiopia, a country in Africa on both sides of the equator. Its limits cannot be accurately defined; cf. Plin. 6, 30, 35; 6, 5, 8; Vulg. Gen. 2, 13; ib. Isa. 11, 11.—Hence, Aethĭŏpĭcus , a, um, adj., Ethiopian, Plin. 6, 30, 35, § 196.
